POSITION TITLE:    Marketing Manager, Iconix Latin America (Iconix Brand Group)

REPORTS TO:         VP, Latin America

LOCATION:              The position can be located in one of the following places: 

Santiago, Chile

Buenos Aires, Argentina

Distrito Federal or Mexico City, Mexico



The Marketing Manager, Latin America is responsible for driving the marketing and communication efforts across the Latin American region for Iconix. The position will oversee a portfolio of brands, activating them across Latin America, with an emphasis on the Andean region.

Working in concert with the local Iconix team and our licensing partners, the Marketing Manager will play a central role in setting and executing the marketing and communications strategy for the region as well as developing locally relevant brand management assets and programs. This position will collaborate with our licensees and oversee their marketing strategy, as well as support the sales team on pitching/signing new business.  This position will play an important role in activating our brands and building brand awareness in the market to drive organic revenue growth for the business.


Essential Duties


  1. Responsible for the marketing strategy, planning and execution of all Iconix brands in Latin America – partner with business heads to create a plan that supports business objectives
  2. Set and implement the marketing initiatives and budget for the region – ability to work on both high-level strategy and detailed execution plans including timelines and action calendars
  3. Direct 360 degree marketing and communications effort, from social media and PR, to in-store merchandising and activations
  4. Oversee licensee’s marketing plans, ensuring proper budget spend/allocation to drive the strategic objectives of the business
  5. Assist in the formulation of marketing programs and actively lead the roll out of these to partners
  6. Identify and amplify brand ambassadors, celebrities and online influencers – could be in conjunction with an agency
  7. Build strong media relationships, not just on the brand level, but for Iconix overall as well
  8. Collaborate with other regional offices and Iconix head office to share assets, learnings and best practices
  9. Manage social media for all brands
  10. Generate buzz and awareness for brands to help sell in (to licensees/partners) and sell-out (consumer purchase)
  11. Report on all marketing initiatives – as they happen, monthly, quarterly and evaluate ROI
  12. Share marketing plans, creative briefs and recaps with central international marketing team


Brand Management/Business Development

  1. Manage the development, planning and execution of brand management for the full portfolio of brands in Latin America, with an emphasis on the Andean Region
  2. Create decks and other new business selling material for specific pitches and provide direct support to regional teams to close deals and drive revenue
  3. Support sales team in building relationships with all licensee or retail partners to identify ways to generate additional revenue
  4. Collaborate with the Hub team to launch The Hub, a new platform for digital asset management and product approvals
  5. Ensure licensees have access to The Hub and are properly trained how to use it
  6. Secure and manage trade shows, where applicable

Candidate must be highly motivated and a self-starter with a professional and personable demeanor who thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. A successful candidate will be a curious and creative problem solver who revels in the design of strategies, the tactical day-to-day pursuit of marketing plans and the challenges of working with limited budgets across competing priorities. The candidate must have an entrepreneurial personality and think and act like a business owner. He/she should be a team player with the ability to motivate and inspire clients and colleagues alike.


The candidate should have the ability to manage multiple projects, including both strategic and operational initiatives, with an innate attention to detail and ability to prioritize in an ever-changing environment. Strong capacity for actively thinking outside the box to stretch limited budgets and staff resources. While the role requires a results-driven and analytical mind, the candidate also must be creative. Knowledge and experience in the fashion & licensing industries are preferred, but not required. It is also preferred that the candidate has experience working across Latin America with a demonstrated ability to identify multi-market trends.


Essential Requirements

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing/brand management
  2. Strong skills in design and capable use of key graphics software is essential; a demonstrated talent, and desire, to create compelling marketing and PR materials
  3. Comfortable executing across social media, digital media, PR, in-store/visual merchandising and event activations; experience working across both marketing and communication disciplines
  4. Must be savvy, scrappy and have experience working with limited budgets
  5. Clear communicator with strong presentation skills (written and verbal)
  6. Desire to work as part of a fast-paced environment, with a strong multi-tasking capability
  7. Ability to think strategically and execute tactically
  8. Available to travel periodically within South America and Mexico, as well as occasional travel to the USA, Europe and Asia
  9. Spanish fluency required, English fluency preferred
  10. Bachelor’s Degree
